Get a mentor
Find a mentor — or better yet, group of mentors — you can consult on a regular basis. Remember that mentoring is a two-way street, so bring something to the table. Pass it forward by mentoring the person behind you.
You don’t need a title to be a leader. Don’t wait to be called on, speak up. Don’t wait to be asked, find solutions. Senior leaders want to hear what you have to say. Don’t be afraid to ask them for advice or present your ideas. Build your professional networks, inside and outside your company.
